According to the organizing board, many practical activities will take place during the 4-day event in order to create a useful playground for youth and students, contributing to strengthening solidarity among Vietnamese communities in Europe.

In addition to visits and exchanges, a lot of meaningful contents such as contests on culture, history and geography of Vietnam, workshops on scientific research, sharing life experiences and working abroad will also be held.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Dieu Linh, Head of the organization board, so far, the preparation has been completed and Prague is ready to welcome delegates.

"We have prepared a lot of practical contents for young people who are living, learning and working in Europe. Most of the participants are born in Europe, their Vietnamese language and knowledge of Vietnamese culture are not plentiful, and participation in the camp would create opportunity for them to experience Vietnamese culture and speak more Vietnamese," she said.

"Through the summer camp, we want to create a useful, interesting and attractive playground, as well as a forum for Vietnamese students and youth in Europe to share experiences, thereby contributing to connecting and strengthening solidarity among overseas Vietnamese in general and in Europe in particular,” said Ms. Linh.

As of August 15th, more than 300 Vietnamese youth and students from 13 European countries of Germany, France, the Netherlands, Finland, Belgium, Spain, Austria, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania and the Czech Republic have registered to attend the summer camp.

The organizing board will mobilize dozens of volunteers to guide the delegations during the camp.

This is the first time the Vietnamese Youth and Student Association in the Czech Republic is honored to host the important event for Vietnamese young people across the continent.

Over the two events hosted in France (2015) and in Germany (2016), the festival has helped young people have more connections and knowledge to gain more confidence in the local country and preserve their national cultural identity.

The organizing board hopes that Vietheart Summer Camp 2017 will leave many beautiful impressions on the delegations./.
