VYSA helps connect Vietnamese students and youth in Japan

The Vietnamese Youth and Student Association in Japan (VYSA) organized an event to debut its executive board for the 2018-2019 term, and review and exchange on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of the Dog, on January 14th.

With more than 10 branches across Japan, VYSA has become a prestigious organization, connecting Vietnamese youth and students in Japan, promoting solidarity, Vietnamese culture, looking toward the homeland and strengthening the friendship between the two countries.

Not only connecting Vietnamese people geographically, VYSA has also connected them in fields such as science, arts and sports through organization of scientific conferences, photo contests and sports tournaments.

Moreover, VYSA has also supported Vietnamese youth and students in difficult circumstance and start-ups, organized job fairs and helped Vietnamese to win scholarships to universities in Japan.

Ms. Pham Thanh Huong, Chairwoman of VYSA for 2018-2019 term, said that in the coming time, VYSA will foster communications to exchange and share information with the overseas Vietnamese community in Japan. She also hoped that Vietnamese youth and students will have more significant activities in Japan.

According to Japanese Ministry of Justice, as of late November 2017, there are more than 200,000 young Vietnamese people in Japan./.
