The Consulate General of Vietnam in Osaka has cooperated with the administration of Sakai city, Osaka prefecture and Ikeda Senshu Bank on February 7th to organize a workshop introducing Vietnam’s investment environment to Japanese companies.

At the workshop, Japanese businesses were provided information on the economy, preferential policies for foreign investment enterprises and cooperation potentials in the field of supporting industry between Vietnam and Japan.
Speaking at the event, Ms. Hazama Emiko, Deputy Mayor of Sakai city, shared a positive assessment of the potential of Vietnam's economy and opportunities of investment and business cooperation for businesses of the two countries.
She confirmed the priorities of Sakai city in promoting and supporting businesses with strengths in industrial production, manufacturing and mechanical engineering to seek investment opportunities and expand business in Vietnam.
According to a cooperation plan with the Consulate General of Vietnam in Osaka, Ms. Hazama Emiko will lead a delegation of more than 20 businesses to Ho Chi Minh city and Dong Nai province between February 20th - 23rd to learn about investment opportunities and strengthen cooperation in trade, finance, investment and high technology with local businesses and localities of Vietnam.
Sakai is the second largest city of Osaka prefecture with a population of over 840,000 people, well-known for industry, mechanics and small and medium-sized enterprises. In recent years, the city and businesses have been interested in and implemented economic, trade and investment cooperation programs with Vietnam./.
