Ho Chi Minh city launches first river bus route

The first river bus transport service was officially launched in Ho Chi Minh city on August 21st for pilot running ahead of official operation from October, with an aim to reduce road traffic congestion.

The first route, 10.8 kilometers in length, connects Bach Dang wharf on the Sai Gon river with Linh Dong ward in Thu Duc district, with seven stops.

Five boats with 80 seats, including one in reserve, will run the route, with the entire trip taking 30 minutes from the first to the last stop.
River buses in Ho Chi Minh city are yellow.

Passengers are happy to experience the first river buses.

The river buses are in a pilot transport phase.

Each bus provides 80 seats.

It takes about 30 minutes from the first to last stop.
