In spite of not being lavishly decorated as usual, the lantern street on Luong Nhu Hoc street still welcomes a lot of people to visit and purchase.

Top leader shares children’s Mid-Autumn Festival joy


From about 5pm of September 30 (August 14 of lunar calendar), Luong Nhu Hoc street in District 5, Ho Chi Minh City started to be crowded, with the highest peak at around 8pm.

According to many people, the lantern street this year is not decorated splendidly and colorfully as usual.

Many shops selling decorative items for Mid-Autumn Festival along Luong Nhu Hoc Street close, making items here also become less diverse.

This year, mainly paper and electronic lanterns are displayed for sale, handmade lanterns become rare.

Lights and shimmering colors of lanterns always attract eyes of children.

In spite of not being decorated splendidly and colorfully as usual, the lantern street in District 5 still welcomes a lot of visitors and purchasers during the Mid-Autumn Festival.

"This year there are also many visitors, but most of them come to visit, take photos," a lantern shop owner shared.

Many people gather in Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street in District 1 in Ho Chi Minh City.

Although Mid-Autumn Festival falls in Thursday, a working day, the number of people coming here is still unusually crowded./.
