Tan Cuong land of tea specialty

(CPV) - A painstaking process is used to produce the famous Tan Cuong tea in the northern province of Thai Nguyen, from getting materials to processing and packaging the products.

Tea islands in Vietnam’s border area

Located 13 kilometres west of Thai Nguyen city, Tan Cuong’s terrain is mainly hills less than 200 metres high. Originating from the forests in the mountains, the streams follow the foothills to water the famous specialty tea area. This natural condition creates the special quality of Tan Cuong tea compared to tea grown in other regions.

Growers have to follow painstaking steps from caring for the tea, harvesting the tea, drying the tea, and processing the tea.

It takes about 20 minutes to dry 1.2-1.5 kilograms of tea
