Traffic police deploy to serve APEC

On October 15th, the Traffic Police Department under the Ministry of Public Security worked with Da Nang city Public Security to organize the deployment ceremony to ensure traffic order and safety during the APEC Week 2017.

Addressing the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Public Security Bui Van Nam asked forces to raise high their sense of responsibility in ensuring traffic safety and order, and leading international and Vietnamese delegations attending the APEC Summit Week.

According to the Traffic Police Department, nearly 1,000 traffic police from different localities, together with hundreds of vehicles and pieces of equipment, gather to realise tasks from now until the end of the APEC Summit Week.

Apart from ensuring traffic safety and order, the traffic police will work with relevant agencies to protect the delegations, reinforce security, and prevent activities of disorder or terrorism.

From October 16th to November 12th, a campaign on ensuring safety and social order on roads, railways and waterways will be held across the country to serve the APEC Summit Week, aiming to ensure complete security for delegates and guests, especially APEC member economies’ leaders.
