Over 300 people on Co To island examined and granted medicines free of charge

A mobile examination delegation from the Quang Ninh Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital examined, consulted and granted medicines free of charge for over 300 people on Co To island district on May 5th and 6th.

The delegation conducted a preliminary examination of obstetrics and gynecology, general internal examination, pediatrics, eye, ear - nose - throat and total ultrasound scan.

In cases of serious illness, patients were advised to move to higher-level hospitals and guided them to use health insurance card at appropriate medical facilities for the best examination and treatment.

Particularly, there was a table to consult nutrition and guide to practice nutrition for pregnant women, breast-feeding mothers and those raising children. After examination, the people were given a prescription and granted medicines free of charge.

The activity of the health workers from the Quang Ninh Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital had a practical significance. It helped local people on the island have an opportunity to access high-quality healthcare service and help equip them with more basic knowledge and skills to protect themselves and their families.
