After finalizing list of candidates, representatives from the HCM CYU, Ministry of Education and Training and CVN made fact-finding trips to Hai Duong, Ben Tre, Khanh Hoa provinces and Ho Chi Minh city, in which the selected students live in order to have a clear view of their family condition, then encourage them on their studying.

The organizing board has selected 10 high school students and 21 university students from the provinces/cities who met almost given criteria.

The scholarships are part of a larger VND4.8 billion scholarship program (between 2014-2020 period) for 90 outstanding high school students and 150 university students nationwide. Each scholarship for high school and university students is worth VND16.2 million (VND1.8 million/month) and VND24 million (VND2.4 million/month) per year, respectively.

So far, some 43 pupils and 61 students have received scholarships worth nearly VND2.8 billion. This year’s awardees will have chance to receive scholarships in the following years until they graduate from high school or university unless demonstrating their good records./.
