Poster of the program
Successful applicants will commence Master degree study at an Australian university of their choice in 2020, in priority areas for Vietnam’s development: governance and economic growth, transport, water and sanitation, education, gender equality, agriculture and rural development, regional stability and human rights, disability and climate change.

Applicants are assessed on their professional and personal qualities, academic competence and, most importantly, their potential to impact on development challenges in Vietnam.

“Education is the center piece of Australia and Vietnam’s relationship, which now goes back 45 years. So far, the Australian Government has provided over 6,000 international scholarships to Vietnamese students. University leaders in Australia tell me that Vietnamese students are highly valued for their diligent study habits, and their excellent research capabilities. Vietnamese students are world class and Australia is proud of the outstanding contributions Australian Awards Scholarships recipients have made to the development of Vietnam”, said Australian Ambassador to Vietnam, Mr Craig Chittick.

Australia Awards Scholarships are prestigious international awards offered by the Australian Government to the next generation of global leaders for development. They are part of a broader investment by the Australian Government - Aus4Skills, which includes Australia Awards Short Courses and informal learning opportunities to address knowledge and skills gaps to help Vietnam realise its aspirations to become a prosperous and socially inclusive country./.
