Canon starts new year with “Canon Friendship school chain” in Lai Chau

Located in a remote area lacking infrastructure and equipment, and facing difficult transportation, the school is one of the beneficiaries of the project with two new class-rooms, inaugurated in 2009.

In the beginning of 2018, the Japanese company sponsored VND40 million to renovate and repair two class-rooms, showing deep commitment for the school, local people and youth, along with the contribution of volunteers under the message “Hand in hand, you and I for a bright future”.

With the purpose of improving the study environment for teachers and pupils in mountainous areas as well as encouraging studying spirit among pupils, since 2007, Canon Vietnam has been supporting 90 friendship schools, bringing many new and spacious class-rooms for under-privileged pupils in Vietnam.

Every year, it visits and upgrades these schools as necessary, as well as presents equipment such as cameras, printers, computers, Canon bookcases and bunk beds./.
