The notice was given when seeing the phenomenon that some organizations and individuals gather a list of Vietnamese students studying abroad who want to return home, then collect a deposit to plan for hiring and arranging flights to Vietnam.

Accordingly, the MoET informs all Vietnamese citizens studying abroad to strictly implement measures to prevent and control COVID-19, in accordance with the regulations of the host country authorities and according to the recommendations and guidance of overseas Vietnamese representative missions.

At the same time, overseas students must closely monitor the learning plans of foreign educational institutions to ensure the learning program.

Overseas students wishing to return home need to register directly with the Vietnamese representative office in the host country, and to be very careful with the organizations and individuals receiving their names of diplomatic missions to organize flights to Vietnam.

The Ministry also noted that if Vietnamese citizens need support, they can contact the Vietnamese representative agency in the host country, or immediately call the Vietnamese citizen protection hotline overseas at (+84) 981848484; or contact the Department of International Cooperation under MoET at (+84) 24.38695144; (+84) 365127407./.
