The opening ceremony for the additional education program to improve professional skills for Russian language teachers in Vietnam took place on October 22nd in Hanoi.

The event drew the participation of leaders of the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Hanoi, lecturers from Peoples' Friendship University of Russia and over 30 Russian language teachers from educational establishments in Vietnam.
From October 22nd and 25th, the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia will conduct the programme in Vietnam to systematize the viewpoint of participants according to "Russian as a foreign language" orientation, and introduce modern technologies in teaching culture and language.
Participants will be introduced to modern editing technologies and use e-learning materials in Russian language books, methods of planning and organizing foreign language teaching using information technology, and communications through distance teaching.
In addition, leading experts from universities in the field of teaching Russian as a foreign language and intercultural communications will give lectures according to sample classrooms, roundtable discussion and game situation.
Students will also have access to new topics in Russian language teaching such as new textbooks on Russian as a foreign language and modern Russian communications space.
On this occasion, representatives from the Russian Center for Science and Culture presented certificates of merit of Rossotrudnichestvo (Russian Cooperation Agency) and gifts to six Vietnamese students who obtained outstanding achievements in Russian language teaching./.
