Minister of Education and Training meets border guards participating in education

Minister of Education and Training Phung Xuan Nha on November 13th met 60 border guards who participate in teaching and illiteracy eradication for pupils in remote, mountainous and border areas and islands.

These border guards also made great contribution to encouraging and mobilizing different sources to help children from disadvantaged families to go to school.

The meeting also drew the participation of 30 students, who are the outstanding proofs for these border guards’ efforts.

Addressing the meeting, Minister Nha expressed his admiration and respect on the border guards’ efforts in the cause of education and training in general, and the popularization of education, illiteracy eradication in particular. The border guards participated in building schools, teaching and encouraging students to go to school.

He said that in the future, the Ministry will coordinate with the High Command of Border Guards to carry out a program to promote the model of border guards participating in the cause of education and training in all areas having border posts.

On this occasion, the leader of educational sector presented certificates of merit to 60 border guards and gifts to 30 students./.
