Minister of Health requests epidemic prevention after Typhoon Damrey

A delegation of the Ministry of Health led by Minister Nguyen Thi Kim Tien on November 8th had a working session with Khanh Hoa central province on the damage to the health sector, and epidemic prevention after Typhoon Damrey.

According to Khanh Hoa provincial Department of Health, the sector lost over VND46.5 billion. Most health establishments had their roofs blown off, glass windows broken, and walls and equipment damaged.
Vice chairman of Khanh Hoa provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Dac Tai said that after the typhoon, the province asked relevant agencies to inspect the epidemic prevention, environmental hygiene, and treatment of flooded water.
The Minister expressed condolences with local people suffering losses from the typhoon. She asked the sector to make great efforts to overcome difficulties and carry out activities to provide the best services for local people.
On this occasion, the Ministry of Health supported Ninh Ha precinct medical station in Ninh Phu commune with two electric generators, worth VND10 million each; and presented a gift worth of VND100 million from the Ministry’s fund, and medicines as well./.
