The Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs has coordinated with the Ministry of Education and Training and the Central Committee of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union to organize a ceremony to honour 161 outstanding ethnic students in 2017.

These students won prizes at national competitions, obtained high results at university entrance exams or won medals at international sports competitions over the past school year.  They come from 26 ethnic minority groups from 50 out of 63 provinces and cities.

Addressing the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh reiterated the Party and State’s consistent policies of giving top priority to education and science and technology development. He added that the Government has set many preferential policies for education and training, especially in remote and ethnic areas.
