Outstanding ethnic students in Dak Lak honoured

The Vietnamese Students Association and Vietnam Youth Federation in the Central Highlands Dak Lak province on July 25th held a ceremony to honor outstanding ethnic students in 2017.

About 12,000 students, including 3,000 belonging to ethnic minorities, from Dak Lak province are studying at universities and colleges nationwide.

Over the past year, ethnic students have made constant efforts to obtain high results in studying. They also actively participated in volunteer activities to support people in remote areas to improve labor capacity and contribute to poverty alleviation.

At the ceremony, students also shared experiences in studying and participating in movements, inspiration and expectation after graduation.

Addressing at the ceremony, Secretary of Dak Lak provincial Party Committee E Ban Y Phu appreciated the achievements made by ethnic students; expressed his hope that students will promote solidarity to practise positive ethics and lifestyle, overcome difficulties to promote studying and participating in scientific research. Mr. Y Phu also said that the province would continue supporting outstanding ethnic minority students from disadvantaged families in localities.

On this occasion, the organizing board presented certificates of merit to 50 outstanding ethnic students from universities and colleges nationwide who obtained excellent results in the 2016-2017 school-year./.
