Over USD200,000 for young labourers’ vocational training in Hai Phong city

From 2017, LG Electronics will sponsor a 3-year long program on developing vocational training for disadvantaged young people in Hai Phong city, using over USD200,000.

Accordingly, the program includes vocational training courses and vocational guidance for young people aged 15-24. In addition, the Korean electronics company has pledged to set up two libraries for children in Hai Phong city and develop four online libraries for colleges.

According to a representative of LG Electronics, in 2017 alone, it will sponsor colleges with four computer libraries, and grant 50 scholarships worth VND3 million each for college students. Under the program, over USD18,500 will be earmarked to assist disadvantaged young people in Ngo Quyen district.

The representative added that LG will continue to provide educational assistance to Vietnamese pupils to help them be better prepared for the future./.
