Promoting science and technology between Vietnam - Korea businesses

Accordingly, Vietnam Climate Innovation Center (VCIC) under the Ministry of Science and Technology will support local entrepreneurs to connect trade, services, investment and technology transfer with Korean partners. While Vietnam - Korea Businessmen & Investment Association (VKBIA) will be a bridge to support the organization of specialized investment promotion conferences to help Vietnamese business delegations of VCIC come to thre Rpublic of Korea, coordinate training and support startups to accelerate, access to Investors, intellectual experts in specific fields.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Vu Tung, newly-appointed Vietnamese Ambassador to the Republic of Korea said that the direction of the Communist Party of Vietnam clearly stated "foreign affairs for the benefit of the people and businesses, so, this collaborative activity is on the right track towards each very specific project.

“The Vietnam's creative growth rate has been increasing dramatically (five to ten steps moving forward annually), especially in 2019, Vietnam has been breakthrough with 12 steps up. The Republic of Korea is a partner sharing similarities with Vietnam in policies, people, geopolitics.... VKBIA plays an important role to connecting with Korean businesses on the basis of trust, because before trading, they have built close partnerships such as brother”, stressed Pham Duc Nghiem, Deputy General Director of National Agency for Technology Entrepreneurship and Commercialization Development cum VCIC Director.

VCIC is a World Bank’s project implemented by the Vietnamese Government through the Ministry of Science and Technology with financial support from the Australian Department of Foreign Affair and Trade and the UK Department for International Development.

VKBIA is an organization of businessmen, experts, intellectuals and organizations with the purpose of trading development not only in Vietnam and the Republic of Korea but also in other markets in the world, thereby mobilizing the capacity of individuals and collectives for the mutual benefit of businesses, entrepreneurs and the community./.
