The southern province of Tien Giang will invest VND1.204 trillion to build an agricultural production zone applying high technology, on an area of over 197 hectares.

Accordingly, in the first phase (2017-2020), the province will carry out the project on an area of 44 hectares, using VND280 billion, focusing on investing in infrastructure and calling on investment into hi-tech agricultural production from businesses.
In the second phase (2021-2030), the province will expand the project to additional 153.3 hectares, using VND924 billion. The money will be used to complete the infrastructure, administrative centre, research areas, experimental areas, transfer and training of hi-tech agricultural production, training of human resources and other services.
At first, the province will concentrate on completing infrastructure construction, especially the traffic and power infrastructure.
The province is also completing the necessary profile to call on businesses to invest in hi-tech agricultural production, developing policies to attract investment, creating socio-economic development efficiency./.
