Vietnam – Netherlands promote human resource training in water education

The statement was made at the reception in the Hague with representatives from IHE Delft Institute for Water Education Vanessa de Oliveira and Eoud Oko, by Vietnamese Ambassador to the Netherlands Ngo Thi Hoa on April 17th.

Ms. Hoa said that Vietnam appreciated the IHE’s cooperation with educational establishments and localities in Vietnam.

The IHE representatives said they hope Vietnam and the IHE will soon sign a long-term cooperation agreement on human resources development. Over the past 60 years, about 300 Vietnamese students graduated from the institute. Currently, eight Vietnamese students are studying in the Netherlands under scholarship programmes sponsored by the State of Vietnam. IHE coordinated with Vietnamese partners to carry out 20 projects on improving capacity and special training courses according to Vietnam’s requirements, especially in the field of adapting to climate change, and water management./.
