According to Prof. Dr. Mai Anh Tuan, Head of the research team, the robot can contain up to 10 liters of disinfectant solution in one operation and work for two consecutive hours.

Thanks to its sensor, the robot can automatically move, avoiding all obstacles on its way. With special design, the robot can easily go under the hospital bed, go to every corner of the room to clean and disinfect.

In addition, NaRoVid1 also has a cyclical movement set by the operator and automatically returns to the charging position after the end of the cycle.

In particular, it can disinfect itself before leaving the isolation room. This is a new feature, ensuring proper infection control procedures.

According to Mr. Tran Minh Quan, Deputy Head of the Examination Department of the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases, the application of the robot helps doctors save time and reduce the risk of infection. With ability to store 10 liters of disinfectant liquid on the robot for multiple applications, so medical staff only have to refill disinfectant solution several times a day, instead of having to go in and out of the room dozens of times a day if cleaning manually.

In the coming time, the research team will continue to improve the robot to better meet the actual operation process. The Institute of Technology Application will coordinate with production units to transfer technology, make plans to produce robots in large quantities, and promptly respond to hospitals and isolation areas when required.

According to the Ministry of Science and Technology, this is an important and significant success, confirming that Vietnamese scientists are quickly responding to problems found in real life./.
