Viettel has officially become the first network operator licensed by the Ministry of Information and Communications to test a new 2,600MHz frequency in 12 localities.

This helps Viettel continue to ensure the quality of services for customers on lunar New Year.
Previously, to serve the needs of 4G (more than 38,000 4G stations) in the context of lack of frequency resources, Viettel had to optimize the entire 1800MHz band of the 2G network and part of the 2,100MHz band of the 3G network.
In this context, the frequency of 2,600MHz becomes the most important resource for Viettel to ensure that the 4G network quality is truly superior to 3G, especially in provinces and cities with large concentration of 4G subscribers. In areas with new frequencies, Viettel's 4G network speed will be 2 times higher.
According to the analysis and forecast of Viettel, during New Year and Lunar New Year 2020, the trend of using data services of customers across the country will continue to increase. Compared to the previous Tet holiday, the demand for 4G data is two times higher, while 3G data is slightly increased by about 10%. Meanwhile, voice and messaging services will be reduced by 10-15%.
In parallel with the 4G stations broadcasting on new frequencies, the provider has implemented many other supporting solutions such as adding equipment, broadcasting new stations, mobile transceivers, upgrading the system, and wifi at festival areas and crowded events.
On the occasion of the Lunar New Year of the Rat, Viettel also launched a series of incentive programs on useful telecommunications products and services to express gratitude to customers./.
