A festival to communicate revolutionary songs and honour outstanding youth and children following Uncle Ho’s sayings was organized in Co Nghia commune, Lac Thuy district, Hoa Binh province, on June 11th on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s appeal for patriotic emulation.

The event was organized by the Hoa Binh provincial Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Lac Thuy district Youth Union and Lac Thuy district Cultural and Sports Centre.

During the festival, groups communicating revolutionary songs performed many special items, praising the Communist Party of Vietnam, Uncle Ho and love for the nation.

Over the past 70 years of implementing President Ho Chi Minh’s appeal for patriotic emulation, patriotic movements have developed widely, in order to call upon the political force to uphold its solidarity, patriotic tradition to carry out the resistant wars victoriously.

Along the history of the nation, patriotic movements have become the revolutionary driving force in the cause of protecting and constructing the nation.

On this occasion, the organizing board honoured 30 outstanding youth and children following Uncle Ho’s sayings in Lac Thuy district.

The festival aimed to educate youth union members, youth and children in the province to uphold the patriotic tradition and national pride, create ebullient emulation movements among all fields of social life to aggressively promote and effectively implement patriotic emulation movements in youth unions at all levels, as well as boost studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality and style, contributing to successfully carry out tasks of socio-economic development, national defence and social welfare./.
