Son La organizes festival for outstanding youth following Uncle Ho’s sayings

The youth unions at all levels of the province has enhanced communications about President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality and style with various forms, especially focusing on studying and following Uncle Ho’s sayings and youth’s responsibility.

Over the past two years, the youth force has built over 1,750 hygienic outhouses in communes reaching new-style rural areas; concreted 76.2km of rural roads, repaired nearly 800km of rural and inner-hamlet roads, built and handed over small-scale incinerator system; repaired 5 cultural houses and dug 286 pits to contain public waste.

In addition, they have also carried out “Light for hamlets” work with 43km, worth VND910 million; activities to show gratitude for revolutionary contributors and light candles at martyrs’ cemeteries: visited and presented 1,300 gifts, worth over VND200 million, to policy beneficiary families in the province; repaired 224 houses and auxiliary works; examine and grant medicines free of charge to 1,200 war invalids, sick soldiers and relatives of martyrs.

On this occasion, the executive board of the provincial youth union honoured and presented certificates to 53 outstanding youth following Uncle Ho’s sayings in the 2016-2018 period./.
