Adding colors and protection nationwide in Volunteer Green Summer campaign

Most of chosen constructions are mossy and moldy such as apartment building at No.6 Nguyen Sieu street (district 1), Youth Park (Long Truong ward, district 9), An Dinh preschool (An Dinh commune, Tuy An district, Phu Yen province), and La Piar commune preschool (Phu Thien district, Gia Lai province).

With outstanding covering capability, durability and bright colors, Dulux paints not only helped protect those constructions against the harsh weather but also blew a new wind of inspiration through local communities. Moreover, painters are coming to join hands in painting meaningful mural art, telling stories of environmental protection, green life and sustainable development.

According to Ms Pamela Phua, General Director of AkzoNobel Paints Vietnam, in recent years, AkzoNobel regularly cooperates with local partners including Ho Chi Minh city Communist Youth Union to implement campaigns to repair and repaint civil and public constructions.

While Mr Ngo Minh Hai, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh city’s Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union highly evaluated AkzoNobel’s support for the city Youth Union in the past years, saying that with the sponsorship of 7,000 liters of paints in Volunteer Green Summer Campaign, AkzoNobel has contributed to create fresh appearances into many old and degraded streets, buildings, especially constructions in remote areas.

This campaign was implemented under AkzoNobel Cares, an initiative to promote sustainable development in communities around the world. In the long term, AkzoNobel will continue to work with the Ho Chi Minh city's Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union for environmental protection, save electricity, and clean water./.
