AIA Vietnam launches fourth Real Life Journey in Nghe An province

(CPV) - AIA Vietnam, in collaboration with the National Fund for Vietnamese Children, on April 12th held a ceremony in Vinh city (Central Nghe An province) to launch the fourth Real Life Journey to raise funds for donating bicycles to poor children with good results in study.

At the event, organizers presented 250 bicycles, and five education packets from AIA Vietnam Life Insurance Co., Ltd (VND20 million each), worth VND550 million in total, to disadvantaged local students.

This is the fourth consecutive year that Nghe An province has enjoyed the program.

This year’s Real Life Journey will be organized in 12 events throughout the country, hoping to award 1,500 bicycles and 60 education packets from AIA Vietnam Life Insurance Co., Ltd (VND20 million each), to poor children nationwide.

AIA Chief Executive Wayne Besant said the Journey aims to give a helping hand to less fortunate children in the nation so that they can continue their schooling and gain better futures. It is hoped that more social organizations and enterprises will pay close attention to those under privileged children.

In the last four years, AIA Vietnam has carried out around 350 activities towards community development, with the total capital of VND15.5 billion, seeing dozens of thousands beneficiaries nationwide.

So far, Real Life Journey program has presented over 3,300 bicycles to kids in 50 localities./.
