Another Covid-19 Chinese patient cured in HCMC

After 3 weeks of treatment at Ho Chi Minh city’s Cho Ray hospital, Chinese national Li Ding, 65, one of the two Covid-10 patients first discovered in the Vietnamese city, was cured and discharged from hospital on February 12th.

According to doctor Nguyen Tri Thuc, Director of the Cho Ray hospital, Mr. Li Ding’s health has completely recovered and he tests negative for Covid-19. 

Li Ding expressed his deep thanks for Cho Ray hospital’s care from the hospital’s doctors, nurses and leaders. 

“I am really moved with the affection of the Vietnamese State and feel lucky being treated in Vietnam,” he said. 

Earlier, Li Ding’s son, Li Zhichao, 28, who was also infected with the disease, was cured and discharged from the hospital. 

The two Chinese patients were taken to Cho Ray Hospital on January 22nd.

As of 09h10 of February 14th, some 64,171 cases of Covid-19 were reported in the world, with 1,486 fatalities, mainly in China. 

In Vietnam, 16 cases were confirmed, with 7 now having recovered and no deaths having been reported./.
