Accordingly, the two sides will carry out practical activities for communities, especially social welfare work and supportive programs for students and youngsters.

On May 19th, in response to the festival of young doctors following Uncle Ho’s teachings in ensuring communities’ health in the central province of Binh Dinh, VietJetAir provided 5,000 packages of medicine, 20 presents to beneficiaries and 10 water refining sets for primary and pre-schools.

“VietJetAir youngsters have actively participated in voluntary activities for social welfare and environmental protection, contributing to caring for people’s health,” said Nguyen Duc Thinh, VietJetAir Deputy Director General.

The festival, held for the 9th time, is an annual activity of the VYF and the Vietnam Young Doctors’ Association, to mark the 128th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19th), and the 62nd anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Youth Federation (October 15th).

Under the festival, 6,000 young doctors participated in giving free medical check-ups and medicine to 100,000 residents; free eye surgeries to 500 elderly people; and first aid to 5,000 teachers from 700 primary and pre-schools nationwide. Additionally, the festival collected 13,000 units of blood, presented water refining systems to 20 primary schools, and provided artificial limbs for 1,200 disabled people.

Earlier, during the 2018 lunar New Year festival, the two units worked together to organize free flights for disadvantaged youngsters, workers and students to return home for Tet.

In realization of the cooperation deal, VietJetAir will continue to support the Federation activities to protect the marine environment, cope with climate change, support disadvantaged people, and pervade good deeds among society./.
