This year, the company has invested around VND200 million for the installation of lights in over 9km road in Hoang Lai village, Thanh Van commune, Hiep Hoa disrtict; Dinh Ha and Quyen villages, Tan Trung commune, Tan Yen district; Ngoc Son village, Chu Dien commune, Luc Nam district, and Xuan Lan, Tam Hop, Xuan Minh and Dong Ich villages, Huong Mai commune, Viet Yen district, in the Northern Bac Giang province. All lights have finished after two months, fitted with durable composite material trough pipes and using power-saving compact lights.
Deputy Director-General of Canon Vietnam Niimura Minoru said: “We have closely cooperated with the Bac Giang provincial Communist Youth Union in this project, a kind of social activities programs. Together with well-made inter-village concrete road system, these new lights will actively support the theme of “Developing industrial parks with rural development” set by the Government, thus laying a good foundation for sustainable development of the nation and protecting the environment”.
Apart from ensuring traffic safety (especially at night time), social orders, and create a beautiful and modern rural road system, the project also demonstrates the spirit of vanguards and volunteers of local youth in building new-style countryside.
This April 25th, the Japanese Company will transfer the similar project for local people in Guot, Cau Dao, Phuong Tri and Ngoc Noi villages from Que Vo, Gia Binh, Luong Tai and Thuan Thanh districts of neighboring Bac Ninh province, with a total investment of over VND400 million.
Since 2013, as many as 35 villages in Bac Ninh and Bac Giang provinces have enjoyed this program, covering about 85km of road.
Following company’s development with social security, in the upcoming time, Canon Vietnam hopes to contribute more to Bac Giang/Bac Ninh provinces in particular, and Vietnam in general, toward a better future for next generations./.
