Over the past time, authorized agencies in the province have carried out drastic measures. In particular, the provincial Department of Health has developed different plans for dealing with the disease, and been ready for receiving and treating possible patients, while preparing sufficient facilities, medical equipment and medicine for suspected cases. Fourteen quick response teams have been set up to cope with any possible outbreaks.

The department has also worked closely with the provincial Public Security and authorities of industrial zones to manage foreign labourers, especially those who travelled through infected areas. Those who come from Hubei province (China) or go through the Chinese province before entering Vietnam are isolated for monitoring for 14 days and have tested negative for the virus.

The information on the disease prevention has been disseminated in the provincial newspapers, radio and television, as well as other means of mass media.

During the meeting, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Phong asked authorized agencies to continue to carry out preventive measures, and well manage foreign laborers, especially those coming from or going through Hubei province.

He also urged the provincial Department of Education and Training to hand over 3,000 face masks to the provincial Confederation of Labor for distribution to workers at industrial zones, while setting up teams to detoxify schools before pupils return to study./.
