Accordingly, 130 families whose only houses collapsed or were swept away by floods will benefit from the decision. In particular, poor families will receive VND50 million each, nearly-poor families will receive VND30 million each, and disadvantaged and beneficiaries’ families will receive VND20 million each. Additionally, 70 families whose houses were seriously damaged will be assisted with VND15 million each.

Storm Damrey landed in Binh Dinh province in last early November, causing serious damage worth over VND1 trillion, with 21 fatalities, seven missing, 164 collapsed houses, and many traffic and irrigation destroyed.

Mr. Quang added that nearly 600 families whose houses had collapsed or been seriously damaged by floods and storms in 2016 have received housing assistance completed in 2018, with over VND23 billion.

Additionally, the province has allocated 1,000 tons of rice to support natural disaster-affected people./.
