Can Tho: More than 500 projects to welcome Party Congress

The Party Congress of the centrally-governed city of Can Tho will be held from September 23 to 25 with the participation of 418 delegates, including 347 officially delegates representing more than 52,828 party members in the whole Party Committee.

On September 21, the Can Tho Party Committee’s Commission for Popularization and Education organized a press conference to inform and popularize the 14th Can Tho Party Congress (term 2020-2025).
Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai, Deputy Head of the Can Tho Party Committee’s Commission for Popularization and Education said that over the past one year, the city focused on guiding to successfully complete targets and socio-economic development tasks in 2020 and Resolution of the 13th Party Congress.
The Party Committee finalized construction and implementation of projects and personnel plans to ensure standards, structural requirements in accordance with the spirit of Directive 35 - CT/TW and instructions of the central level.
So far, preparation for the Party Congress has been completed in accordance with programs and plans set by the Steering Committee of the event.
Popularization activities about the Party Congress were widely carried out at all levels, notably the popularization of patriotic emulation movements, practical works to welcome the party congress at all levels; meeting the requirements of serving daily life of local people.
Mr. Tran Viet Truong, Head of the Can Tho Party Committee’s Commission for Popularization and Education said that the city now has more than 500 projects and works completed and under construction to welcome party congress at all levels with a total capital of thousands of billion VND from state budget and mobilized from the whole society./.
