Coal company marks Uncle Ho’s visit

The Deo Nai Coal Joint Stock Company under the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Holding Corporation (Vinacomin) on March 28th held a ceremony to mark the day Uncle Ho visited the company 60 years ago.

Quang Ninh celebrates 50 years since Uncle Ho’s meeting with mine workers

When he was alive, Uncle Ho visited Quang Ninh province 9 times. On March 30th, 1959, he paid a working visit to Deo Nai mine. During his talks with workers and cadres on the mining site, he urged the cadres to work directly with workers and address any obstacles in production. He also stressed the importance of solidarity and emulation campaigns in boosting production.

Over the past 60 years, Uncle Ho’s teachings have become a torch for the coal company to overcome difficulties and maintain strong development. At present, the company’s staff is continuing to realize Uncle Ho’s teachings in boosting production in line with environmental protection.

In 2018, the company produced over 2.1 million tons of coal, gaining a turnover of VND2.66 trillion and profit of VND40 billion. This year, it targets to produce over 2.27 million tons of coal, earning turnover of over VND3 trillion./.
