General Ngo Xuan Lich, Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission and Minister of Defense, asked the Military Region 4 Party Committee to continue well preparing for the organization of the 11th Military Region 4 Party Congress, the 2020-2025 tenure.
On behalf of Military Region 4 Party Committee, Lieutenant General Tran Vo Dung, Secretary of Military Region 4 Party Committee and Political Commissar of Military Region 4, reported to the mission of the Central Military Commission and Ministry of Defense on the preparation for the 11th Military Region 4 Party Congress, the 2020-2025 tenure.
At the event, participants said that the Military Region 4 Party Committee focused on leading and directing the completion of contents, objectives and targets that the Resolution of the 10th Congress, tenure 2015-202, proposed.
Notably, the Party Committee led and directed the good performance of military and defense tasks on the main contents, including: thoroughly grasping the Party's political and military duties, advising the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of Defense to coordinate with the Party committees and authorities in localities to complete military and defense tasks, contributing to firmly protecting the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the area of the Military Region; and well performing the functions and tasks of the army that work as the core in the prevention and control of natural disasters, floods and storms, forest fires, epidemics, and rescue and salvage operations.
Concluding the conference, General Ngo Xuan Lich, on behalf of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of Defense, appreciated the opinions of the leaders of localities in the military region. The opinions will help the Ministry of Defense to complete the project on economic development associated national defense and security with the local economy, meeting requirements and tasks in the new situation./.
