The construction investor of the Da Nang Information Technology Park (DITP) will mobilize all human resources, materials and machines to accelerate the project to welcome the APEC Summit Week, which is scheduled in November, said Bui Xuan Dinh, DITP Deputy General Director, on August 21st.

The DITP project model
Being built on an area of 341 hectares in Hoa Vang district using USD278 million, the construction is divided into two phases: the first one on 131 hectares of land, lasting from 2013 to 2017, with USD82 million; and the second one on 210 hectares of land, to be carried out from 2017 to 2023 using USD196 million.

According to Mr. Dinh, the DITP will be developed into one of the best IT communities of Asia, which provides the best services and human resources. It is expected to attract domestic and foreign scientists, engineers and experts to work; encourage the training of IT at universities; and establish an ideal working environment. Being able to recruit 25,000 labourers in the next 10 years, the DITP will contribute to build up a satellite urban area in northwestern Da Nang city, inhabited by some 100,000 residents.

As planned, the project will be put into operation by late 2018.

To boost hi-tech agricultural production and IT development, Da Nang city has planned to establish seven hi-tech agricultural production areas, the IT park and the hi-tech park in its northwestern region.

“We believe that the city’s sustainable development strategies, together with the APEC Summit Week, will be good opportunities for the city to call on foreign investment,” said Mr. Dinh./.
