Da Nang city: Hotels and resorts ready for APEC

As of October 11th, Da Nang city has worked with APEC sub-Committees to prepare the high quality hotel and resort system to serve the leaders of 21 APEC member economies as well as delegates attending the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week this November.

According to Nguyen Xuan Binh, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Tourism, the department is working closely with hotels to complete committed work and instructing the hotels on how to decorate, ensure security and food safety, and increase the quality of services.
The tourism sector will work with departments to start a campaign on inspecting the quality of three and five-star hotels until early November, mainly in facilities, equipment, services and the arrangement of meeting rooms.
The department has organized 30 training courses on etiquette work, as well as services at rooms, restaurants, kitchens and skills to inspect and cope with different situations. Knowledge and requirement in security, firefighting work and food safety have also been disseminated to hotel managers and directors.
Some 14 five-star hotels will be mobilized to allocate high-ranking delegations from APEC member economies./.
