Da Nang city has invested VND5 billion to buy two vehicles for testing food safety to serve the upcoming APEC Summit which is scheduled in November.

Accordingly, from now until the APEC Summit, the health sector will increase inspection on food safety, including the quality of water and food in restaurants and hotels which have been chosen to serve the event. Food samples will also be kept.
The city Preventive Health Centre has also invested in additional equipment to conduct food tests.
Nguyen Tien Hong, Deputy Director of the city Department of Health, said that the health sector will be willing to well carry out health work, promptly dealing with any emergency or food poisoning.
At present, it is capable of conducting 11 snap tests at the same time, while more detailed tests will use more equipment from the city Preventive Health Center./.
