Da Nang gives housing support to revolutionary contributors

Over the past five years, Da Nang city has helped repair and build over 7,400 houses for families with meritorious service to the revolution, using capital of over VND223 billion.

The capital comes from the central budget (VND83 billion), the city budget (VND44 billion), district budget (nearly 29 billion), payment of gratitude funds and contributions from organizations and unions (over VND25 billion), and businesses’ donations.
This year, the city plans to give housing support to 2,300 families. As of early September, over 2,470 houses have been completed with nearly VND79 billion.
Based on the actual situation and families’ economic conditions, Da Nang has raised the support level to VND60 million to each built house and VND20-30 million to each repaired. Additionally, localities mobilized resources to assist each family with an additional VND5-10 million for upgrading houses to be capable of resisting storms and floods.
Apart from this, each family has been provided with a television, raising the total number of televisions to over 7,400, with a capital of nearly VND20 billion./.
