Dak Lak province earmarks over VND40 billion for Tet gifts

The Central Highlands Dak Lak provincial People's Committee has decided to earmark over VND40 billion from the local budget to give presents to collectives and individuals during the lunar New Year festival (Tet), the provincial Department of Labour, War-Invalids and Social Affairs has reported.

Accordingly, presents worth VND500,000 each will be given to outstanding beneficiaries, relatives of soldiers garrisoned on Spratly Islands, outstanding village patriarchs and other groups of individuals. Presents worth VND300,000 each will be allocated to revolutionary contributors, those who are over 80 years old, blind people, homeless orphans, cadres, and armed forces’ officers. In addition, the province will provide presents worth from VND2.5-6.5 million for each of 230 agencies and localities.

Besides, 15,194 revolutionary contributors in the province will receive presents worth over VND3 billion from the State President.

As planned, all of the presents will be allocated to agencies and individuals before January 26th./.
