Doctors give free eye checks-ups to disadvantaged people

On weekends, the Ho Chi Minh city Optical Association often sends delegations to give eye checks-up and provide glasses to wounded soldiers, revolutionary contributors, poor families and pupils with excellent academic achievements in remote areas in Long An, Ben Tre and Kien Giang provinces.

In Ho Chi Minh city, the delegations have come to Thu Duc Teenagers’ Village to provide eye check-ups and glasses to the teenagers and the village officers.

So far, the delegations have given eye check-ups and glasses to over 3,000 people, and referred over 200 cases to the Ho Chi Minh city Eye Hospital for more complicated intervention.
