Fire fighting and prevention drill at Aeon Mall Long Bien

(CPV) - More than 500 people joined a fire fighting and prevention drill rehearsal on October 18th at Aeon Mall Long Bien, in the outskirts of Hanoi city.

As soon as the assumed fire situation started at Tiniworld on the 3rd floor, the fire alarm system activated and the commanders of Aeon Mall Long Bien immediately approached the fire scene and used all the facilities to stop the fire at the first step and carried out fire fighting rescue.

The fire fighting commander directed all security teams and rescue teams to urgently guide customers and staff to immediately exit Aeon Mall by the nearest exits.

The rescue team immediately gave first-aid assistance when affected victims were moved out to the safe area, then continued to help tenants carry goods out of the fire area.

Within 10 minutes, Fire Prevention and Fire fighting Police Division No.4, led by Deputy Head Nguyen Duc Thiem, were on the scene with two fire fighting engines, a ladder truck, a fire truck and a fire rescue vehicle, together with nearly 40 police officers and Aeon Mall Long Bien staff to deploy fire fighting and evacuation efforts.

With scientific fire fighting and rescue tactics from all emergency responders, together with the professional and well-trained staff of Aeon Mall, the fire was completely under control and all the victims were rescued to the safe zone within 20 minutes.

Mr. Kazunori Manago, Second Secretary of the Japanese Embassy to Vietnam, spoke highly of the importance and meaning of this rehearsal, saying that the rehearsal was so well done that brought a delightful experience to all the participants./.
