First three Vietnamese citizens tested positive for coronavirus

Three Vietnamese citizens returning from China's Wuhan tested positive for coronavirus as of the afternoon of January 30th.

The information was released by Deputy Minister of Health Do Xuan Tuyen at a governmental meeting in order to implementing task after Lunar New Year Festival (Tet) and prevention of the novel coronavirus (nCoV).  

According to the Ministry of Health, the three patients were sent to train in China’s Wuhan, the epicentre of the sweeping pneumonia virus outbreak, by Japan’s Nihon Plast Co., Ltd. two months ago, and returned to Vietnam on January 17th on Southern China flight CZ8315, through Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi.

One of them is being treated at Thanh Hoa Provincial Hospital, while the other two are undergoing treatment at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Hanoi.

Along with a Chinese father and son from Wuhan admitted to Cho Ray Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam has so far recorded five cases of coronavirus infection./.
