Every cadre, Party member and citizen of the city, in any position, always learns Uncle Ho's ideology, morality and style to live and work better, thus contributing more to the city’s development.
Learning Uncle Ho’s teachings with practical deeds
Over the past time, cadres, Party members and residents of Ho Chi Minh city have celebrated the great leader’s birthday by doing practical deeds. As an artist who sings many songs about the beloved Uncle Ho, people's artist Ta Minh Tam merges his own love and feelings into each tune of the songs. He said that he often studies historical documents, and reads stories about Uncle Ho to gain infinite love for him before expressing his works emotionally. “Uncle Ho is a great example of patriotism and sacrifice for the independence and freedom of the fatherland,” he said. “I am very proud to be able to express songs about Uncle Ho."
As one of many typical young followers of Uncle Ho's teachings, Mr. Hoang Trung Hieu, born in 1997, PhD student of University of Science (the Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh city), has many scientific works announced in the world's leading conferences. Notable are two projects assessed to be feasible for the construction of a smart city in Ho Chi Minh city. “Uncle Ho places great trust in the role of the youth,” he said, adding that he has always done useful deeds for the society as thinking about Uncle Ho.
Deserving to be city named after Uncle Ho
In the past 5 years, implementing the Politburo directive on studying and following President Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, Ho Chi Minh city has attached great importance to studying and following Uncle Ho with the implementation of resolutions on building the Party and carrying out political tasks of each locality, agency and organization. Many good models and effective ways of doing have take place, including telling stories about Uncle Ho in a new week’s flag salute at schools; video contest introducing good examples; organizing annual photo exhibition contest; and conducting questionnaire on 27 signals of a degradation in political ideology, morality and lifestyle.
On the occasion of the 130th anniversary of Uncle Ho's birthday, the city praised 147 collectives and 233 outstanding individuals in studying and following President Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style. Notable are Vietnamese hero mother Ngo Thi Quyt, despite her age of 95, producing face masks to protect the poor; the "rice ATM" initiative of Mr. Hoang Tuan Anh not only helping thousands of people in need but also spreading positive energy in the time when the country is exerting all efforts to fight COVID-19; or Doctor Kim Phuc Thanh from the Thu Duc district Hospital who had continuously studied solutions to help patients shorten the time for treatment and reduce treatment fees.
According to Politburo member and Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh city Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan, the city’s studying and following of President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and style, which focuses on strengthening the great unity bloc, building a pure and strong Party and political system based on Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, is especially meaningful in association with the organization of Party Congresses at all levels and towards the 13th National Party Congress.
“Ho Chi Minh city pledges to be united and creative to overcome all difficulties to realize the Party’s ideal goals for the happiness of the people, for independence, freedom and territorial integrity; continuing to successfully implement the national renewal process; and building up Ho Chi Minh city as a heroic city named after the beloved Uncle Ho,” said Mr. Nhan./.
