In particular, to mark 40 years of Vinamilk development, the fund is expected to allocate milk to 40,000 poor children across 40 provinces and cities.

The milk will be distributed to orphans, disabled children, children’s centres and primary pupils in remote areas for use within 3 months.

So far over 373,000 disadvantaged children have benefited from 30 million glasses of milk worth VND120 billion through the fund.

Ms Dao Hong Lan, Deputy Minister of Labor, War-Invalids and Social Affairs, said that many disadvantaged children had not been provided with adequate nutrition with few having the chance to drink mink, leading to limited physical and intellectual development.

“Therefore, the Vinamilk fund holds great humanitarian significance, helping hundreds of thousands of children drink milk more regularly to improve their health,” she said./.
