Hai Phong city to help 25-30 communes meet standard of new style rural areas

So far, 48 communes, or one third of the communes in Hai Phong city, have reached the standards of the program on building new style rural areas.

In 2016, the city will help an additional 25-30 communes satisfy the criteria, forwarding the realization of the program by 2020.
The information was announced during a ceremony to call on assistance to support the program and ensure social welfare in the 2016-2020 period, held on June 16th.
Accordingly, the city encouraged each officer and labourer in agencies, schools, armed forces and unions to contribute at least one day of salary, while leaders of districts were encouraged to donate at least VND10 million and enterprises were suggested to donate at highest amount of money possible.
Addressing the ceremony, Nguyen Huu Doan, Head of the Hai Phong city Party Committee Commission for Popularization and Education, asked for synchronous plans for mobilization of the capital in combination with an orientation for effective use of the capital.
During the ceremony, VND760 million was mobilised for the program on building new style rural areas./.
