Hanoi gives housing support to over 5,800 revolutionary contributors

Of which, 2,737 houses have been built, while the rest have been repaired or upgraded, using capital from the budget for revolutionary contributors (over VND275 billion), from district and communal People’s Committee (VND2.8 billion) and mobilization from individuals (nearly VND490 billion).

To realise the set target, localities have accelerated the upgrading and building of revolutionary contributors’ houses. At present, 984 houses are being built and 442 others are being repaired, using initial capital from the budget for revolutionary contributors of VND20.5 billion, VND950 million from district and communal People’s Committees, and over VND35 billion from families.

So far, 150 revolutionary contributors have not received housing support due to their personal reasons.

Hanoi will continue to encourage agencies and businesses to support housing programs for revolutionary contributors. Preliminary statistics from the Hanoi Department of Finance show that businesses have assisted the program with VND82.5 billion, while seven agencies have committed to assist nearly VND22 billion in the near future./.
