The street will be open to pedestrians only from 7:00 pm to 2:00 am next day on Saturdays and Sundays.

The municipal People’s Committee said training courses on community-based tourism will be held in June to help businesses, households and individuals directly involving in trading activities on the street.

Tran Vinh Tuyen, Vice Chairman of the HCM City People’s Committee, said the Department of Tourism will be responsible for organising, managing and developing tourism activities in the area.

Units and individuals are encouraged to conduct art performances on the street to reduce the use of public budget, Tuyen said.

District 1 was requested to support residents in the area while ensuring traffic flows and security and order on the street.

According to the district People’s Committee, a number of works are underway to serve tourism, such as tiling pavement, building public toilets, and installing wifi networks.

Bui Vien, together with nearby De Tham and Pham Ngu Lao streets, is among the areas gathering crowds of foreign tourists in the city./.
