Ho Chi Minh city in need of 139,000 laborers in second half

Businesses in Ho Chi Minh city will recruit 139,000 laborers in the second half of this year, as the demand for laborers increases by 10% compared to the first half, according to Tran Anh Tuan, Deputy Director of the city Centre of Forecasting Manpower Needs and Labor Market Information (FALMI).

Stable economic development and growth of production, as well as the formation of new businesses, have created a driving force for the city labor market.

An increase in high quality and skilled labor demand is required for marketing, business, sales, mechanics, architecture, construction technology, information and technology, textile and garment, leather footwear, personnel management, auditing accounting, electrics and electronics.

Meanwhile, seasonal and part-time jobs are provided for laborers in textile and garment, leather footwear, food technology, information and technology, construction, tourism, customer service and insurance.

“The labor market is developing in accordance with an increase in the quality of laborers and restriction in the quantity of laborers,” said Mr. Tuan./.
