Ho Chi Minh city launches centre on hi-tech education development research

In 2020, Ho Chi Minh city will inaugurate the centre on hi-tech education development research, aiming to accelerate educational renewal and create conditions for the application of high technology in education.

So said Le Hoai Quoc, President of  Ho Chi Minh city Hi-tech Park Administration, during a ceremony held on August 16th to grant the investment certificate on carrying out the project “center on hi-tech education development research” to the Ho Chi Minh city Open University.

Accordingly, the project worth VND290 billion is expected to be completed in 2020 on an area of over 8,985 square meters. With 16,000 square meters in use, the center will set up research rooms on modern software for study management, research rooms on the development of online subjects, studio rooms, data center rooms, and libraries equipped with video conferences.

When put into use, the center will provide adequate facilities and space for learning, researching and working; make best condition for applications of modern science and technology; and satisfy the demand for educational renewal in accordance with advanced educational models in the world.

This will also a place for domestic and foreign businesses and training agencies to meet, share experience and increase cooperation./.
